Critique Requests
This is a space for RvB fic writers to request critique on their posted work. (If you're looking for a beta for work you haven't yet posted, check out the Find a Beta post.)
To request critique, leave a comment on this post in the following format:
Fic title: Your Title Here!
Fic url: site.org/you/yourfic
Characters/Pairings: Character A/Character B + Character C
Word count: X000 word
Warnings: explicit content, graphic violence, common triggers, etc.
Level of critique: Soft, Moderate, or Hard
Subject of critique: Where you would like help the most. This could be grammar and sentence structure, plot, action, dialogue, character development, voice, pacing, themes, etc! Please be as specific as possible so critics know what to focus on.
To give critique on a request, be sure you are replying to the comment where it was requested, not to the main post.
GROUND RULES FOR CRITIQUE REQUESTS

falloutkinkmeme for their critique section on which this one is modeled.)

GROUND RULES FOR CRITIQUE REQUESTS
- YOU MAY ONLY SUBMIT YOUR OWN FIC FOR CRITIQUE.
- Don't ask for crit you can't handle. There's nothing wrong with asking for a soft critique! It's good to know your own limits.
- Realize that you might not like or agree with everything you hear. Don't take the critique personally--it's about your work, not you. Feel free to ask questions of the critic to better understand their feedback or clarify their points, but don't attack them for their opinions or start an argument with them. Remember, you still have the final say on your own work.
- If at any time the feedback becomes too much or you just decide you've had enough, it's okay to say thanks, that's enough for now. Critics, please respect an author's wishes and don't be offended if they say they've had enough. It doesn't necessarily mean you did anything wrong.
- Offer feedback for somebody else. If you receive critique here, try to give critique to someone else as well. Give-and-take makes for a thriving community.
- Respect what the author has requested. Stay within the level of critique they asked for, and stay focused on the areas where they asked for help.
- All feedback should be constructive, even the hardest criticism. The purpose of critique is to help the author improve their writing. Focus on helping the author achieve their goals. "I don't like it" is not a critique. Use examples from the work. Suggest changes. Be specific. Choose your words carefully, and if you're not sure whether you're overstepping the level of critique requested, always err on the side of caution.
- Do not bash characters or pairings. This is not the place for telling somebody why their fave sucks. You can make characterization suggestions, but recognize that there are usually multiple valid interpretations of a character.
- Do not make it personal. Focus on the writing, not the author. Anything that smells like flaming or a personal attack will be terminated with extreme prejudice.
- ONLY POST CRITIQUE HERE FOR FIC SPECIFICALLY REQUESTED BY THE AUTHOR.
